Hi, I’m Alvin Rodriguez, a first generation Mexican American raised between Mexico City and San José, California. I go by Al_Rod behind the lens and focus on capturing real, honest moments through photography.
I was always the kid with a camera, documenting life on film and old Mini DV tapes. From skate sessions with friends to family gatherings, I developed an early love for preserving moments that might otherwise fade with time.
Self taught and driven by curiosity, which made me turn this skill into a career. Since 2017, my work has been published in magazines and I’ve collaborated with companies and organizations to capture their stories, culture, and milestones.
At the heart of my work is a simple goal. To use my camera to help people hold onto the moments that matter most.
